COOMBS AND WRIGHT
On 30 November, Coombs and Wright became the first EnviroDevelopment project to be certified in the ACT.
Molonglo Valley is situated in inner Canberra, less than 10 kilometres from the City, 5 kilometres to Woden and 12 kilometres from Belconnen.
Representing a substantial investment in the future of the Capital, the development at Molonglo Valley will be staged over a number of years, and will eventually be home to approximately 13 new suburbs. The first two suburbs in Molonglo Valley will be Wright and Coombs. Wright and Coombs will eventually accommodate almost 4,000 dwellings through a combination of freestanding homes, terraces and multi-unit sites. Wright and Coombs will feature links to natural attractions of the area including open spaces, the Molonlgo River, Stromlo Forest Park and the National Arboretum Canberra.
The suburbs of Wright and Coombs will incorporate a wide range of sustainability initiatives - everything from Solar Envelope Controls which maximise solar access and 7 star rated multi-unit developments, to the recycling and re-use of green waste and the establishment of a dedicated Home Sustainability Advisor to help people build more sustainable homes.
